The Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC 2025) in Manila has introduced a significant new initiative: a dedicated women-only tournament named Honor of Queens. This addition is designed to promote greater gender inclusion within the esports community and expand competitive circuits beyond traditional male-dominated demographics. The qualifiers for the inaugural Honor of Queens event began on November 15, 2025, running alongside the main KIC World Finals.
The Honor of Queens tournament features open brackets to encourage maximum participation from female players across the region. The competition offers a local prize pool of approximately ₱320,000, equivalent to about US$5,400. This dedicated circuit provides a crucial platform for talented female players to gain competitive experience, visibility, and professional opportunities within the growing mobile esports scene. The launch underscores the publishers’ commitment to building a more diverse and inclusive ecosystem for Honor of Kings, one of the world’s highest-grossing mobile MOBA games. By actively creating dedicated circuits, the event reinforces the global trend toward recognizing and supporting women in competitive gaming, which is vital for the long-term commercial maturity and accessibility of esports.
