Apple and ISSEY MIYAKE Unveil 3D-Knitted Wearable Pouch for iPhone ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

Apple and Japanese design house ISSEY MIYAKE have collaborated to launch the iPhone Pocket, a special edition accessory designed to be a wearable pouch for the iPhone and small daily essentials. The accessory, which became available in select markets on November 14, is a blend of high-tech functionality and high-fashion aesthetics. The design draws inspiration from ISSEY MIYAKE’s signature pleating techniques, using a single piece of 3D-knitted fabric to create a unique, ribbed structure that naturally expands to accommodate the contents.

The innovative pouch is crafted in Japan and emphasizes function through its wearable design, allowing users to carry it handheld or via its strap as a cross-body accessory. The open mesh weave allows users to glance at the phone’s screen without fully removing it. The accessory is available in two versions: the Short Strap model is priced at $149.95, and the Long Strap (cross-body) model is priced higher at $229.95. The product quickly sold out in initial US market reports, signaling strong consumer demand for the limited-edition collaboration. The launch continues the legacy of design partnerships between Apple and the ISSEY MIYAKE brand, famously known for designing Steve Jobs’ signature black turtlenecks. Initial markets for the special edition release include France, Greater China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, and the US. The product is positioned to appeal to customers seeking to integrate their mobile technology with premium, sustainable, and function-forward fashion accessories.
