EBC11: Europe’s Largest Blockchain Event Returns Stronger Than Ever
This October 16–17, 2025, Barcelona will become the epicenter of the global crypto and blockchain community as it hosts the 11th edition of the European Blockchain Convention (EBC11). Anticipated to be the largest blockchain event in Europe to date, EBC11 will welcome over 6,000 delegates and more than 300 speakers from leading financial institutions, crypto firms, and Web3 startups.
Held annually since 2018, the convention continues to grow in both scale and influence, drawing in a unique mix of traditional finance and digital asset pioneers.
A Power-Packed Speaker Lineup and Agenda
This year’s speaker lineup includes top executives from J.P. Morgan, Bitwise, CoinFund, Galaxy, OKX, Banco Santander, BBVA, Bitpanda, Algorand, and more. These leaders will tackle today’s most pressing topics in crypto, including:
- Tokenization of funds and securities
- Stablecoins and AI integration
- Institutional interest in ETFs
- Next-gen L1 and L2 blockchain networks
- DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks)
- Restaking and Web3 user experience design
- Bitcoin as a corporate reserve asset
According to EBC co-founder Victoria Gago, registration has surged following strong attendee feedback from last year’s event. “We’ve seen tremendous growth in enthusiasm and demand,” she said.
Connecting People, Projects, and Capital
In a major new initiative, EBC11 will launch Europe’s largest one-on-one crypto matchmaking program. With over 10,000 meetings expected between investors, entrepreneurs, banking professionals, and engineers, the event aims to foster real, actionable partnerships across the ecosystem.
Co-founder Daniel Salmeron emphasized the importance of bridging traditional and digital finance: “The strong presence of banks and institutions proves their growing confidence in the future of crypto.”
Startup Innovation and Hacking for the Future
The event will also spotlight blockchain innovation through its Startup Battle, a live competition where 50 of Europe’s most promising Web3 startups pitch their projects to a live audience of investors and industry experts.
Complementing the startup energy, EBC11 will host a 48-hour hackathon, featuring 200+ hackers, 30 mentors, and 20 teams, working in real-time to build breakthrough blockchain solutions.
Lifestyle Meets Blockchain in Barcelona
Beyond panels and presentations, EBC11 offers a range of lifestyle experiences, including a sunset beach party, wine tasting, a Michelin-star culinary tour, and even a coastal morning run.
Coinciding with major local events such as the Sitges Film Festival, Salón Náutico boat show, and CSIO Barcelona equestrian tournament, EBC11 aims to blend culture, business, and innovation in a way few other blockchain gatherings can match.
Conclusion: More Than Just a Conference
EBC11 is not just a conference — it’s a global hub for Web3 networking, idea exchange, and deal-making. With its world-class lineup, forward-looking agenda, and focus on both innovation and experience, Barcelona’s biggest blockchain event yet is shaping the future of crypto in Europe and beyond.
